I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
